About the role

The Legists is seeking a Planning Solicitor with at least one year of post‑qualification experience to join its Manchester team. You will work within a supportive, collaborative environment handling a diverse portfolio of planning matters for both private and public sector clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload covering strategic planning advice, planning applications, agreements and obligations.
  • Handle appeals, inquiries, enforcement actions and related negotiations.
  • Provide comprehensive advice to clients across the private and public sectors.
  • Draft legal documents, submissions and correspondence with precision.

Required profile

  • Minimum of 1 year post‑qualification experience (PQE) in planning law.
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and drafting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a friendly team.
