Planning Solicitor – 5+ PQE, London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Solicitor with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience to join our leading Real Estate team in London. You will advise a diverse client base on complex planning matters across commercial and residential developments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage planning appeals, Section 106 agreements and compulsory purchase matters.
• Draft and negotiate planning obligations, Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) arrangements and environmental impact assessments.
• Handle highways, planning policy, enforcement issues, judicial review and infrastructure agreements.
• Conduct due diligence for major real estate and corporate transactions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Real Estate practice and contribute to business development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in planning law.
• Strong technical expertise, excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Commercially aware, proactive in client relationship management.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
