Planning Solicitor (5+ PQE) – London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Solicitor to join a leading real‑estate team in London. The role involves advising a diverse client base on complex commercial and residential development projects, delivering commercially focused advice across the full planning lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Handle planning appeals, Section 106 agreements and compulsory purchase matters.
• Draft and negotiate planning obligations, Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and environmental impact assessments.
• Advise on highways, planning policy, enforcement issues and judicial review.
• Prepare infrastructure agreements and conduct due‑diligence for major real‑estate transactions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Real Estate practice and support business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in planning law.
• Strong technical expertise, excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Commercially aware, proactive and confident in managing client relationships.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
