Plant Fitter

About the role

FM Conway is seeking a Plant Fitter to join its Aggregates and Asphalt division at the Heathrow depot. This full‑time permanent position works on a four‑on‑four‑off rota, covering both day and night shifts, and involves maintaining plant equipment to high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, attend to breakdowns and carry out mechanical repairs on plant machinery.
• Carry out fabrication, welding and burning tasks as required.
• Report plant defects promptly and ensure compliance with ISO 19001 quality standards.
• Adhere to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies and raise any issues.
• Undertake additional duties and ad‑hoc projects assigned by the business.

Required profile

• Qualified fitter with proven experience in mechanical repair.
• Ability to work alternating day and night shifts on a four‑on‑four‑off schedule.
• Willingness to follow ISO quality standards and company HSE policies.
