Plant PDI Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Plant PDI Technician to carry out pre‑delivery inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a range of plant machinery for a fast‑growing plant‑hire business in Baldock.

The role involves both independent work and teamwork, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, servicing and repairs on various plant equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and promote safe working practices.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent qualification).
• Proven experience in plant machinery maintenance and repair.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• CSCS Card.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage time effectively.

What we offer

• Salary between £36,000 and £40,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications.
• 45‑hour work week, Monday‑Friday with occasional overtime or Saturday work.
