Plastic Injection Machine Operator – Mould Setter

About the role

This permanent position is with an established engineering firm in Poole, focusing on the operation and maintenance of plastic injection mould machines. The role involves setting up equipment, programming, and ensuring smooth production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Set up mould machines and write/adjust programmes as required.
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance on machines and related equipment.
• Repair breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
• Set up applicators, calibrate equipment, and record all work in the maintenance log.
• Attend production meetings with the production manager when needed.
• Assist in product build activities as required.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proven experience in setting up mould machine tooling.
• Hands‑on approach to machine maintenance and repair.
• Willingness to work within the defined shift pattern (Mon‑Thu 8:00‑16:30, Fri 8:00‑13:30).
