Plater – Contract Position in Defence & Security

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plater to join BAE Maritime Naval Ships (MNS) on a contract basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality plating work on naval vessels while adhering to strict defence and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality plating tasks in line with BAE standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Work on naval ships, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to meet project goals.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify that work meets specifications.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and complete required documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plating and metalworking.
• Proficiency with plating tools and equipment used in BAE trades.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Understanding of safety and quality standards within the defence and security sector.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work on a contract basis.
