Plater/Fabricator – Day Shift – £40k

About the role

Join a newly established UK operation of a global energy and infrastructure manufacturer as a Plater/Fabricator. You will work on the maintenance team, delivering welding and fabrication solutions for plant breakdowns, repairs and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld high‑quality metal components, structures and equipment to technical specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and weld symbols.
• Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect your own work to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Support general equipment upkeep and project‑specific fabrication tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Plater, Fabricator or Welder in a heavy‑engineering environment.
• Strong electric arc welding and MIG welding abilities.
• NVQ or equivalent qualification in Fabrication and Welding (or similar).
• Ability to work from engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
