Plater/Fabricator – Shift Work at Caterpillar

About the role

We are seeking experienced Platers/Fabricators for a 24‑month fixed‑term assignment at Caterpillar’s facility in Stockton‑on‑Tees. The position offers shift work with competitive hourly rates and the possibility of a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities

• Work on build/weld fixtures to tight tolerances.
• Operate under own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Follow standard work procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Carry out manual lifting tasks.
• Use overhead cranes for material handling.
• Perform jig work.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in fabrication.
• Time Served Welder background.
• Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification.
