Platform Engineer – Azure & Kubernetes (London)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing 100‑person fintech in London as the third member of a small Platform team. You will own and evolve the Azure‑based infrastructure that underpins all business services, working closely with a wider engineering group.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Run and optimise workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Own the CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
• Configure and manage Azure services such as Firewall, networking, identity and monitoring.
• Support engineering teams by providing a reliable, self‑service platform.

Required profile

• Solid experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure (AWS experience acceptable).
• Ability to work independently with minimal process overhead.
• Willingness to dive deep into the stack and take ownership of components.
• Nice to have: Azure certifications or experience in fintech/regulated environments.
