Platform Engineer

About the role

Motion Applied’s Connected Intelligence division is looking for a Platform Engineer to develop and enhance the cloud infrastructure that powers its fleet‑connect solutions. You will work in a cross‑functional team to build secure, compliant, and scalable platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Motion Applied’s cloud infrastructure using IaC tools.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s security governance policy.
• Integrate open‑source software and tailor solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Champion architectural best practices across development teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with major cloud providers (AWS preferred).
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible or SaltStack.
• Strong programming skills in languages like Go, Python, C/C++, Java or Rust.

Required skills

• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Linux environment development.
• Knowledge of multi‑tenant architectures, OIDC/OAuth 2.0, Auth0.
• Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, AWS IoT Core) and Hashicorp tools (Vault, Consul).
