Plumber Multi Trader – Croydon (Full‑time)

About the role

The Hyde Group is seeking a Plumber Multi Trader to join its housing‑association team in Croydon. You will work on social‑housing properties, delivering high‑quality plumbing and related trades while providing excellent customer service to tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out first‑fix and second‑fix plumbing repairs, installations and maintenance in occupied homes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with taps, toilets, pipework, radiators and unvented cylinders.
• Perform basic carpentry, tiling, patch plastering and general repairs as required.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and time spent in the job management system.
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, asbestos awareness and company standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to complete jobs efficiently and minimise disruption to tenants.

Required profile

• Proven experience in first‑fix and second‑fix plumbing within residential or social‑housing environments.
• Ability to carry out basic carpentry, tiling and plastering alongside plumbing tasks.
• Strong customer‑service focus and experience working in occupied properties.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Croydon and Bromley postcodes.
• Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check.
