Plumber Multi Trader – Croydon (Up to £38,000)

About the role

Hyde, a reputable housing association, is looking for a Plumber Multi Trader to join its Croydon team. The role involves maintaining and improving plumbing systems across social housing properties in Croydon and Bromley, with a salary of up to £38,000 plus a company van and fuel card.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out first‑ and second‑fix plumbing repairs, installations and maintenance in occupied social housing.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently, ensuring long‑lasting solutions.
• Perform additional trades such as basic carpentry, tiling, patch plastering and general repairs as required.
• Work professionally in tenants’ homes, minimising disruption and delivering excellent customer service.
• Record job details, materials used and work completed in the company’s job management system.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other trade teams to complete jobs on schedule.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including asbestos awareness and safe working practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience with first‑ and second‑fix plumbing (taps, toilets, pipework, radiators, unvented cylinders).
• Ability to carry out basic carpentry, tiling, patch plastering and general maintenance alongside plumbing work.
• Previous work in occupied properties, preferably within social housing.
• Strong diagnostic skills and a focus on durable repairs.
• Familiarity with health & safety standards and a valid driver’s licence.
