Plumbing & Gas Lecturer

About the role

Join a dynamic and supportive team as a Plumbing & Gas Lecturer, delivering high‑quality, hands‑on training to aspiring tradespeople across several Further Education sites in the North East. Both part‑time and full‑time positions are available, with temporary or permanent contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess vocational plumbing and gas courses.
• Coordinate teaching and assessment programmes in line with the Head of School’s guidance.
• Provide pastoral and administrative support as a class tutor.
• Liaise with college staff to ensure smooth programme delivery.

Required profile

• A Level 3 Plumbing qualification (e.g., NVQ 3 or Advanced Craft Certificate).
• Gas Safe registration with solid on‑site experience.
• A teaching qualification (CertEd or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one with support.
• Strong communication, presentation and IT skills, and a genuine interest in helping learners succeed.
