Plumbing & Heating Engineering Lecturer (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Plumbing & Heating Engineering Lecturer to join our Construction department at a leading Further Education provider in Wiltshire. The role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an industry professional eager to move into education, delivering both theory and hands‑on training to learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons in plumbing and heating.
• Assess learners across full‑time courses and apprenticeship programmes.
• Support students in workshop and classroom environments, ensuring compliance with current regulations and safety standards.
• Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain high health‑and‑safety standards.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing (or equivalent).
• Relevant industry experience in plumbing, heating and gas systems.
• Willingness to obtain Assessor and IQA qualifications if not already held.
• Strong practical knowledge of current industry regulations and standards.
• Motivation to mentor and develop learners.
