About the role
We are seeking a qualified plumber or heating engineer to join our Further Education College in Aylesbury as a Plumbing Lecturer. The role offers full teacher training, a supportive environment and clear career progression within the construction education sector.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver plumbing programmes across multiple levels, combining practical workshop sessions with classroom theory.
- Develop and update curriculum content in line with industry standards.
- Assess learner progress, provide feedback and support students to achieve competency.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced educators to maintain high teaching standards.
Required profile
- Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating.
- Recent hands‑on experience in the plumbing or heating industry.
- Gas Safe certification is advantageous but not essential.
- Motivation to move into education or existing teaching experience.
Required skills
- Plumbing systems installation and maintenance.
- Heating systems design and servicing.
- Gas Safe certified work (optional).
