Plumbing Lecturer – Further Education (Full‑Time/Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Plumbing Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching to learners across further education providers in Liverpool. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting students in developing practical plumbing skills and industry knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver plumbing lessons for learners of varying levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Create an inclusive, safe workshop environment and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Support learners in practical installation, maintenance and fault‑finding tasks.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Plumbing, Building Services Engineering, Heating and Ventilation or related trade.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching plumbing in further, higher or adult education settings.
• Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
