Plumbing Lecturer – Further Education

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Plumbing Lecturers to deliver high‑quality teaching for further‑education providers across South East England. You will inspire learners to develop practical plumbing skills, technical knowledge and industry‑standard practices, helping them progress towards successful careers in plumbing and building services engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging plumbing lessons for learners of varying levels.
• Teach practical installation, maintenance and fault‑finding techniques in workshop settings.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with college requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to promote learner achievement and retention.
• Ensure all workshop activities comply with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Plumbing, Building Services Engineering, Heating and Ventilation or a related trade.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching plumbing in further‑education, higher‑education, secondary or adult‑learning environments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for trade education.
