Plumbing Tutor – Teach Level 1‑3 Apprentices

About the role

We are seeking a Plumbing Tutor to join our training provider in Herne Bay. The role involves delivering Level 1‑3 plumbing components of a multi‑skills apprenticeship, combining hands‑on workshop sessions with classroom theory. You will work Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, helping apprentices develop the knowledge and practical abilities required for a career in plumbing and heating.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons covering plumbing and heating theory and practice.
• Conduct practical workshop sessions, demonstrating techniques and supervising hands‑on work.
• Support apprentices throughout their learning journey, providing feedback and guidance.
• Collaborate with a wider teaching team to deliver the full multi‑skills programme.
• Maintain records of attendance, progress and assessment outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience as a plumber, plumbing & heating engineer, or as a plumbing tutor.
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Commitment to transitioning from industry to education, with willingness to undertake funded teacher training.
