About the role
Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and looking for a rewarding role in education? Academics are working with a supportive school in Oxford that is seeking a caring and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join the team from September. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑3:30 pm, with a daily rate of £93‑£110.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support.
- Assist students with their learning, communication and development.
- Support students with personal care and daily activities where required.
- Encourage independence, confidence and engagement.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff.
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Patient, caring and compassionate.
- Confident supporting students with additional needs.
- Positive, reliable and resilient.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
- Previous experience with PMLD or SEN is desirable but not essential.
