Police Officer – Bournemouth & Southampton

About the role

The British Transport Police are recruiting Police Officers to protect passengers, staff and the public across Bournemouth and Southampton. You will join a family‑like force dedicated to serving the community and ensuring safety on the transport network.

Key responsibilities

• Visible patrolling of railway stations and surrounding areas.
• Responding to emergencies and incidents on the transport network.
• Conducting criminal investigations, including serious and organised crime.
• Gathering intelligence and building trust with local communities.
• Addressing anti‑social behaviour such as graffiti, theft and public reassurance.

Required profile

• Valid full UK driving licence.
• Eligibility to apply for a British Transport Police Police Officer role (no unsuccessful application within the past six months).
• Willingness to work in Bournemouth or Southampton as specified.
