About the role
The College is seeking a full‑time, permanent Politics and Economics Lecturer to deliver A‑Level courses at its Clarence Street Campus in Liverpool. You will create stimulating learning experiences, link content to current affairs and local employers, and support students in achieving both academic and personal goals.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality lessons that engage and motivate students.
- Use a range of teaching and learning techniques to promote independence and autonomy.
- Establish a safe, supportive learning environment where students feel valued.
- Maintain appropriate behaviour, communication and respect standards, challenging discriminatory attitudes.
- Set, mark and record work in line with College assessment policies.
- Track student progress and attendance, providing timely feedback.
- Liaise with the Assistant Dean and curriculum teams to design programmes and support assessment processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address additional Digital, English and Maths skill development.
- Review personal professional development needs and participate in relevant training.
Required profile
- Full‑time permanent contract (35 hours per week).
- Reports to the Dean of Academic Studies.
- Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcomed.
- Ability to monitor academic performance, provide constructive feedback and motivate students.

- Salary range £34,789 – £43,139 per year.
- Full‑time permanent position with a 35‑hour weekly schedule.
