Porter – Campus Logistics Support

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Porter to join the Logistics and Facilities Centre of a prestigious university campus in Uxbridge. Working full‑time on‑site, you will provide reactive maintenance, compliance support and logistical assistance during busy transition periods.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and distribute linen for student departures and conference guests.
• Remove and deliver furniture and white goods quickly to improve guest experience.
• Transport and store housekeeping supplies, ensuring teams are equipped.
• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, mattress replacement and mould removal.
• Remove waste from bedrooms and communal areas to support housekeeping.
• Respond to emergencies like floods or maintenance issues.
• Assist with staff induction, training and relocation coordination.
• Maintain bike shed, hoover equipment and overall facility cleanliness.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Physical stamina for lifting and moving items.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to health, safety and data protection standards.
