Portfolio Compliance Analyst – Charles River Rule Coding

About the role

The Portfolio Compliance Analyst will be responsible for implementing and coding regulatory and contractual investment guidelines within the Charles River system. You will work closely with portfolio managers, product teams, legal, and compliance stakeholders to ensure accurate rule coverage and adherence to investment policies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and code regulatory and contractual investment guidelines in Charles River.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trade rule coding and testing.
• Collaborate with CAM, PM, product, and legal teams on guideline and regulatory queries.
• Analyse, interpret, and comment on regulatory documents and client guidelines.
• Review and qualify investment guideline violations, seeking clarifications when needed.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of a global Investment Guideline Compliance function.
• Work with internal IT and external vendors on technical implementations and system enhancements.
• Participate in projects aimed at process and system automation.

Required profile

• Ability to self‑manage workloads and deliver results.
• Effective team player with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of investment instruments and portfolio management.
• Knowledge of contractual and regulatory investment guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with industry‑recognised compliance monitoring systems.
