Portfolio Implementation Analyst / Associate - Long/Short Equity

About the role

This position sits close to the investment team of a London‑based investment manager, offering broad exposure to portfolio implementation, investment operations, investor support and business‑facing projects. You will work directly with Portfolio Managers, trading, operations and senior stakeholders to ensure investment decisions are executed accurately and efficiently across pooled funds and managed accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Support portfolio implementation across pooled funds and managed accounts.
• Assist with portfolio rebalancing, strategy alignment and account replication.
• Manage account flows, including subscriptions, redemptions, scaling and rebalancing activity.
• Prepare and raise orders for the investment team with accurate execution instructions.
• Support production of portfolio data, performance analysis and investor materials.
• Assist with pitch materials, client presentations and business development documentation.
• Coordinate investment team inputs into RFPs, DDQs and operational due‑diligence processes.
• Contribute to investment‑related projects across the wider business.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in a front‑office, middle‑office, portfolio implementation, investment operations or related role.
• Experience within a hedge fund, asset manager or broader investment management environment.
• Working understanding of portfolio implementation, the trade lifecycle and fund structures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially under time pressure.
• Clear communication skills and ability to own processes end‑to‑end.
• Comfortable working with investment teams, trading, operations and senior business stakeholders.
