Portfolio Management Loans Support Manager

About the role

The role supports the management of a portfolio of debt investment transactions for the National Housing Bank, a government‑backed platform delivering housing across England. Working closely with the lead Portfolio Manager, you will help ensure delivery, value, return and growth of the portfolio while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of housing starts, completions, land unlocking and budgeted spend in line with the National Housing Bank Business Plan.
• Prepare credit submissions, payment requests and instruct legal documentation to maintain compliance.
• Maintain oversight of portfolio performance and provide assurance through accurate data reporting.
• Monitor risk profiles, identify early signs of deterioration and work with Risk and Distressed Investments to implement corrective actions.
• Analyse portfolio metrics and performance data to produce high‑quality reports and recommendations.
• Contribute to policy and process reviews, recommending improvements for efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience in Banking, Finance or a related field.
• Experience as an investment professional managing loan or debt portfolios.
• Strong understanding of cash‑flow analysis and financial modelling.
• Familiarity with deal execution documents such as shareholder agreements.
