Portfolio Manager - Bridging & Refurb Loans

About the role

Fintelligent is seeking a Portfolio Manager to oversee bridging and refurbishment loan portfolios in London. The role involves managing a live loan book, monitoring project progress, and mitigating risk while delivering strong client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a portfolio of bridging and development finance loans from drawdown to repayment.
• Track construction progress, budgets and key milestones across multiple projects.
• Conduct site visits and engage directly with borrowers and professional partners.
• Identify early warning signs such as delays, cost overruns or sales risk and take appropriate action.
• Analyse cash‑flows and compare actual performance against approved positions.
• Support credit amendments, waivers and restructuring where required.
• Produce high‑quality portfolio reports and contribute to internal committees.
• Collaborate with Lending, Credit and Risk teams to ensure effective portfolio oversight.

Required profile

• Experience in property finance, development finance or real‑estate lending.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial and project data.
• Good understanding of the UK bridging and refurbishment market.
• Confident communicator able to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple transactions simultaneously.
