Post-14 EHC Coordinator – South East Local Authority

About the role
The Post-14 EHC Coordinator will support a South East Local Authority in delivering high‑quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people with special educational needs. This fixed‑term position works three days per week on site and offers the chance to influence service improvement across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of EHCP progress and outcomes.
- Monitor case timelines and support continuous service improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for families, providing guidance throughout the EHCP process.
- Collaborate with schools, families, and multi‑agency professionals to develop person‑centred plans.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of current SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
- Proven experience working within a Post‑14 Local Authority SEND environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Understanding of SEND legislation and policy frameworks.
- Experience with EHCP case management and multi‑agency coordination.
