Postal Delivery Driver – Bristol East Central Delivery Office

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver (often called a "Postie") at the Bristol East Central Delivery Office. You will be the face of the service, delivering letters and parcels to homes and businesses across Bristol while staying active and connected to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot throughout your assigned route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail professionally.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including weekends and Sundays.
• Handle high volumes of mail, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Required profile

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a Royal Mail driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk up to 12 miles per day and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
