Postal Delivery Driver – Fixed-Term (6 months)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Bristol, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and enjoy the benefits of a fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes during peak periods.

Required profile

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Ability to drive a van safely and pass a driving assessment.
• Physical stamina for long walks and handling heavy items.
