Postal Delivery Driver – Part‑time (Andover)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver (often called a "Postie") in Andover. You will be the face of the service, delivering letters and parcels to the local community while staying active and working outdoors.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Andover Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot throughout the assigned route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail’s trusted service.
• Work in all weather conditions and handle a high volume of mail, including exam results, birthday cards and business orders.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit – able to walk up to 12 miles, climb stairs or hills and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy, time‑pressured environment.
• Customer‑focused with pride in delivering great service.
