About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Honiton, delivering letters and parcels to the local community on a rotating shift pattern. The role is part‑time, fixed‑term (9 months) and offers a competitive hourly rate with overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Honiton Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Work one in four Sundays at the Exeter Rurals Delivery Office.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Adapt to varying delivery volumes, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit to walk up to 12 miles, climb stairs/hills and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently outdoors in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Safe driving of a standard van.
• Physical stamina for long walks and handling heavy loads.
