Postal Delivery Driver – Part‑time (Frome)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Frome, delivering letters and parcels to local customers. The role is part‑time, permanent and involves a rotating shift pattern that includes weekdays and occasional weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Frome Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot within the assigned local area.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, delivering items that matter to the community.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, covering up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) per shift.
• Cover one in four Sundays at the Trowbridge Delivery Office (12:30‑18:30).

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Ability to pass a Royal Mail driving assessment and drive the company van daily.
• Physical fitness to walk long distances, climb stairs or hills, and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy, time‑pressured environment.
