About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Helston and become the friendly face that brings letters, parcels and moments that matter to your community. The role is part‑time, with a rotating shift pattern that includes weekdays and occasional weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Helston Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail and parcels by van and on foot across your local area.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling up to 12 miles of walking per shift.
• Follow health and safety procedures while lifting and carrying mailbags weighing 10 kg or more.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walks, climbing stairs/hills and lifting heavy mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
