Postal Delivery Driver – Part‑time (Rochdale)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a part‑time Postal Delivery Driver in Rochdale, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. You’ll work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and be the friendly face that brings important items to customers each day.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office each morning.
• Deliver mail and parcels on foot and by van within your assigned route.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, providing courteous service.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling up to 12 miles of walking per shift.
• Complete daily driving assessments and adhere to safety procedures.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Physically fit – able to walk long distances, climb stairs or hills and lift mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Valid manual driving licence.
