Postal Delivery Driver – West Wimbledon

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver (often called a "Postie") in West Wimbledon. You will be the face of the service, delivering letters and parcels to local residents while staying active and connected to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the West Wimbledon Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across your assigned route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail professionally.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including weekends and Sundays.
• Handle high volumes of mail, parcels, and time‑pressured deliveries, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a Royal Mail driving assessment.
• Physically fit – able to walk up to 12 miles per day, climb stairs or hills, and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and comfortable working independently.

Required skills

• Valid manual driving licence.
• Safe van operation.
