About the role
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Physical and Theoretical Chemistry group at the University of Oxford. The role is part of a 5‑year ERC Advanced Grant focused on developing hybrid nanoparticulate systems with controlled water interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Design and synthesize ionophores for responsive polymer assemblies.
- Generate and characterise functional polymer materials.
- Lead independent research projects and coordinate related administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet project milestones.
Required profile
- PhD in Chemistry (or near completion) before the start date.
- Experience in functional polymer synthesis and characterisation.
- Ability to manage small‑scale projects and meet deadlines.
