Postperson (Driving) – Fixed‑Term – Bristol

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Postperson with a full UK manual driving licence to join our Bristol delivery office on a nine‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels across the local community, working varied shifts between 13:00 and 21:00, including occasional Sundays.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort and deliver letters, parcels and other items to residential and business addresses.
• Operate a delivery vehicle safely, adhering to road‑traffic regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and update tracking systems as required.
• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers and represent Royal Mail positively.
• Work collaboratively with the delivery team to meet daily targets and service standards.

Required profile

• Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated with a strong sense of community.
• Organised, punctual and able to work outdoors in any weather.
• Willingness to walk for long periods and handle a physically demanding workload.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
