Postperson (Driving) – Fixed‑Term Delivery Role

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson delivering letters and parcels across Sutton. This fixed‑term position offers a dynamic, outdoor environment with a rotating shift pattern that includes weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Sutton Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot throughout the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, covering up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) per shift.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Full manual UK driving licence.
