Postperson (Postal Delivery Driver) – Walthamstow

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson in Walthamstow, delivering letters and parcels to your local community. You will work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, and represent the trusted face of the service.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Build relationships with customers and provide excellent service.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit for walking up to 12 miles and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
