Postperson with Driving – Fixed‑Term (Glasgow)

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postperson with Driving, delivering letters and parcels across Glasgow. This fixed‑term position offers a dynamic, outdoor environment where you’ll be the face of a trusted service, connecting with the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Glasgow South East Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot, covering up to 12 miles per day.
• Build relationships with customers and represent Royal Mail’s brand.
• Work in all weather conditions and adapt to rotating shift patterns, including weekends.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit – able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and comfortable working independently outdoors.
