Power BI Developer – 3 month contract (Outside IR35)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established UK organisation, is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to mature their Microsoft Fabric and Power BI reporting environment. This is a three‑month contract based in Milton Keynes, outside IR35, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Review the existing Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse setup, including data models, semantic models, dataflows/ETL and reporting architecture.
• Recommend improvements for performance, scalability, governance, security and usability.
• Integrate data from core line‑of‑business systems and SaaS platforms into the reporting platform.
• Build reliable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Develop operational dashboards, KPIs and data models to support business decision‑making.
• Deliver training sessions for end users and produce clear handover documentation.

Required profile

• Solid commercial experience delivering Power BI solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Data Platform.
• Proven ability to design and optimise Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience integrating data from SaaS platforms and APIs.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work independently against a fixed timeline.

What we offer

• Rate: £450 per day, outside IR35.
