Power BI Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join a fast‑growing public sector data team in London. The role focuses on converting Excel‑based reporting into a scalable Azure‑powered Power BI environment, helping public services make data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver Power BI dashboards that meet stakeholder requirements.
• Translate existing Excel reports into reusable, scalable Power BI solutions.
• Work within a two‑week sprint cycle alongside a multidisciplinary data team.
• Collaborate with architecture and service‑design teams to ensure robust data pipelines.
• Identify and implement enhancements beyond simple “lift‑and‑shift” dashboards.
• Produce dashboards aligned with social‑housing and local‑authority data.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing dashboards in Power BI.
• Hands‑on experience with multiple data sources such as Excel and relational databases.
• Ability to gather and translate stakeholder requirements into technical deliverables.
• Experience delivering reporting within structured project or sprint environments.
• Understanding of data‑transformation and reporting best practices.
• Public‑sector experience, preferably with local authorities or social‑housing projects.

What we offer

• Contract length of 3 months with a daily rate of £325‑£369.
• Hybrid working – 2 days onsite in London, 2 days remote.
