Power Systems Engineer - HV/LV

About the role

We are seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join a leading engineering firm delivering critical electrical infrastructure across utilities, power generation and industrial sectors. The role involves designing high‑voltage and low‑voltage systems up to 33 kV, from concept through to commissioning, while working alongside an experienced engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and specify LV and HV electrical systems up to 33 kV.
• Perform load‑flow, fault‑level and protection studies using ETAP, PowerFactory, Amtech or similar tools.
• Produce technical reports, equipment specifications and detailed design documentation.
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical support throughout project delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience designing electrical power systems for utilities, industrial, infrastructure or power‑generation environments.
• Hands‑on experience with ETAP, PowerFactory, Amtech or comparable electrical modelling software.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design standards and power distribution principles.
