PPA Cover Teacher – Primary School (Blackpool)

About the role

This temporary full‑time position is for a PPA Cover Teacher in a Good‑rated mainstream primary school in Blackpool. You will deliver pre‑planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting teachers during their planning, preparation and assessment time.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, pre‑planned lessons for early years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse needs, including high SEN and behavioural challenges.
• Collaborate with class teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning.
• Uphold the school’s behaviour expectations and values.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
• Experience or strong interest in teaching across multiple primary year groups.
• Confident classroom management and behaviour support.
• Resilience and ability to work with pupils with additional needs.
• Flexible, proactive attitude and ability to build relationships quickly.
