PPA Cover Teacher – Primary Schools (Brighton & Hove)

About the role

Academics is seeking enthusiastic PPA Cover Teachers to work across a range of primary schools in Brighton & Hove. You will step in while class teachers use their Planning, Preparation and Assessment time, delivering engaging lessons to young learners across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lessons following existing plans for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Maintain continuity of learning and adapt quickly to different year groups.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with each school’s policies.
• Provide constructive feedback on pupil progress to the class teacher.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Flexible, confident and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for inspiring and supporting young learners.
