Practice Manager – Accountancy Firm (Bromley)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join a rapidly growing sole‑practitioner accountancy firm in Bromley. You will work closely with the business owner, managing a diverse client portfolio and supporting the firm’s continued expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a client portfolio worth approximately £600k, building and developing relationships.
• Oversee workflow, ensuring timely preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns and simple payrolls.
• Assist in acquiring new SME and OMB clients and expanding the practice’s service offering.
• Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Iris to deliver high‑quality work.
• Deliver ad‑hoc advisory projects and support clients with strategic financial advice.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Practice Manager or Accounts & Tax Manager in a small‑to‑medium practice.
• Hands‑on experience across all general practice areas (statutory accounts, corporation & personal tax, VAT, payroll).
• ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience.
• Strong communication and client‑liaison skills.
• Based in or willing to commute to Bromley, Kent.
