Practice Manager – Path to Operations Manager (North West London)

About the role

This newly created Practice Manager position sits at the heart of a reputable St. James’s Place Partner Practice in North West London. You will work closely with the Senior Management Team to drive operational excellence, support growth, and eventually progress to an Operations Manager role.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Management to influence strategic direction.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high client‑service standards.
• Lead, manage and support administrative and paraplanning teams, conducting regular check‑ins and performance reviews.
• Implement and maintain compliance procedures aligned with SJP and FCA requirements.
• Coordinate client review meetings, manage Partner diaries and ensure timely follow‑up actions.
• Support management reporting, business planning and continuous process improvements.
• Maintain accurate client and business data within CRM systems.
• Act as the central point of contact for operational queries from clients, SJP and internal staff.

Required profile

• Experience in practice management or operations is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong senior administrator ready to step up.
• Confident leader with excellent organisational skills.
• Solid understanding of financial services processes, client servicing and regulatory requirements.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑driven approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
