About the role

Milton Surgery, a progressive GP practice serving around 8,000 patients in North East Edinburgh, is seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join its dedicated nursing team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient‑centred environment and contribute to innovative clinical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary care services, including cervical screening, vaccinations and immunisations.
• Manage chronic disease programmes and promote health education within the practice population.
• Collaborate closely with GPs, healthcare assistants and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in service improvement projects and clinical audits.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualified and NMC registered.
• Proven experience in general practice nursing.
• Competent in cervical screening, vaccinations, immunisations, chronic disease management and health promotion.
• Motivated, forward‑thinking and able to thrive in a busy practice setting.
