Pre Litigation Fee Earner – Road Traffic Accident Team

About the role

Join a young, vibrant law firm as a Pre‑Litigation Fee Earner within the Road Traffic Accident team. You will manage a full caseload of road traffic accident claims from initial submission through to potential litigation, providing high‑quality client care and supporting the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Run an independent caseload of around 180 RTA files, from MOJ portal submission to pre‑litigation and litigation stages.
• Upload claims to the MOJ portal, manage stage packs, and issue court proceedings.
• Handle credit hire, storage, and recovery charges, and conduct investigations to assess claim prospects.
• Use MedCo to instruct medical agencies and conduct AskCue PI searches.
• Value general damages, obtain supporting evidence, and draft witness statements.
• Identify and flag fundamental dishonesty, and determine when matters should be removed from the portal.
• Meet monthly and quarterly performance targets.

Required profile

• 12‑18 months experience in a similar pre‑litigation/paralegal role dealing with MOJ portal cases.
• Strong knowledge of credit hire, recovery, storage and liability arguments.
• Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision and excellent IT proficiency.
• Team‑player with a collaborative approach and interest in marketing and networking activities.
